John Hopcroft, a Turing Award winner (for those who dont know, Turing Award is the Nobel Prize of CS), and author of some of the most popular CS text books, will be visiting IIIT-Delhi for a few hours on Sat, 19th Febraury, starting around 11am. There are plans for interaction with faculty, PG students, and UG students.

UG Students: Please do not miss this opportunity to interact with a great Computer Scientist like him. He is also an ideal person to ask foundational questions like “Why Discrete Maths or Theory”, “Why study a variety of subjects”, etc.

PG Students: He is also planning to present his recent research activities. You can keep him occupied with all your research activities as well as involve him with fundamental doubts like “How to do a PhD?” , “How to tackle any research problem?” etc.

Make full use of his experience and knowledge.
